The cavity drain membrane, constructed using high-density polyethylene (HDPE), formed a protective barrier between the basement walls and potential water ingress. Its unique dimpled design created an air gap that allowed any water seepage to be directed towards the sump pump system, preventing water accumulation and associated damage.
To complement the cavity, drain membrane system, a sump pump were installed by us. The sump pump system played a crucial role in managing water that entered the basement. It collected water from the drainage channels, which were integrated into the cavity drain membrane, and efficiently pumped it out of the basement, keeping the space dry and habitable.
The successful completion of the cavity drain membrane installation project in Purley’s basement showcases the effectiveness of a comprehensive waterproofing solution. By combining cavity drain membrane installation and a sump pump system, the property in Purley now boasts a dry and habitable basement, free from the persistent issues of dampness and water ingress.
