Balcony Waterproofing and Restoration in Baron’s Court

We recently completed a balcony waterproofing and restoration project that required both structural attention and a fully watertight finish. The balcony had ongoing moisture issues and some instability around the balustrade, so we approached the job with a combination of protection and strengthening works.

Waterproofing System Installed:
For this project, we used a Type A barrier protection system. We applied a high-performance tanking slurry across the balcony surface to create a continuous waterproof barrier. This forms a solid, durable shield against moisture and is ideal for exposed exterior areas like balconies.

Structural Repairs – Helical Bars:
The balustrade fixings needed reinforcement, so we installed helical bars to stabilise and secure the structure. This ensured the balcony was safe, rigid, and compliant before any finishing materials were added.

Finishing Work:
Once the waterproofing and strengthening were complete, we moved on to the finishing stages:

  • The balcony was tiled to give it a clean, modern look.
  • Final painting work brought everything together and provided a fresh, tidy finish for the client.

Outcome:
With the combination of Type A slurry, structural reinforcement, and high-quality finishes, the balcony is now fully protected, stable, and visually upgraded. The client gained a long-lasting waterproofing solution along with a refreshed outdoor space.
