Basement Waterproofing in Cobham, Near Riverside

We recently completed a detailed basement waterproofing project in Cobham, close to the riverside—an area known for its high water table. From the start, we knew this would require a reliable, well-designed system to ensure long-term protection.

Waterproofing System Installed:
For this job, we installed a full Type C drained protection system (cavity drain membrane). As you can see in the photos, every wall and floor area was lined with membrane, carefully sealed and detailed to create a controlled environment where any incoming moisture is safely managed.

High Water Table Considerations:
Because of the elevated groundwater levels, we opted for a dual pump system. This gives the basement an additional level of safety—if one pump ever fails or water levels rise suddenly, the second pump immediately takes over. In areas like this, having redundancy is essential.

Attention to Detail:
All joints, drainage channels, and service penetrations were fully sealed and integrated into the design. The floor drainage layer is already in place, ready for the final screed once all services are completed.
The photo gives a good look at the preparation stage—clean, organised, and fully protected before any finishing works begin.

Outcome:
This setup provides the homeowner with a robust, reliable waterproofing solution suitable for any future use of the basement. With the Type C system and dual pump station working together, the space will remain dry and stable all year round.
